Good Morning 6th Grade Scholars
Morning Check In- Hopefully you were able to complete the Gizmo for Pangaea and Continental Drift and observe the evidence that Alfred Wegner used to suggest that the continents were in motion. Remember he used observations and patterns from shape of continents, fossil remains of plants and animals, climate, and rock formations like mountains
Lesson Topic- Continental Drift
Lesson Target- I can identify the evidence used to suggest that Continental Drift took place.
Lesson Overview- Today you will use a website called CK12 and Microsoft Forms, and Quzlet to continue learning about The Theory of Continental Drift
Lesson Instructions-
1. Click on the Green button to be taken to the CK12 website. Use the website to read through the 8 slides and review the concepts about Alfred Wegner and Continental Drift
2. Click on the Orange button to respond to questions about the information in CK12
3. Click on the Green button to download the file about how Alfred used different evidence to suggest the continents were moving. As you read divide a piece of paper in half to create a T-CHART and write the following words on one side and on the opposite explain how the evidence was used to say the continents were moving apart.
