Good Morning Scholars,
I hope you enjoyed your weekend as was able to participate in some fun activities with family and loved ones on Friday or catch up on any missed assignments. Remember we are still here for you daily and its so important to work daily to develop your skills, afterall you never ever really stop learning not even when you are an adult
This week you all will show your understanding of Plate Tectonics before we move on to our next topic. You all have had a couple of weeks to learn that the Earth is made of layers, continents and oceans are moving due to the layers of the earth and that these plates when moved in certain directions will help to create geological events on earth. You will now take all the topics learned to create products.
Lesson Overview
This week we are looking at how plate movement affects the earth’s surface. Pick 3 activities from the choice board below and indicate which number you are completing when you submit. Work on these through out this entire week. The three activities are due by Friday, April 24, 2020. Be as creative as you can and want to be. Each activity will be a percentage of your grade. The grade will include the Opening activity on Tuesday and the Closing on Thursday. There are several ways you can submit your work.
1. You can copy and paste the product into the Forms that are offered this week
2. You can take a picture and upload it to us through Teams.
3. You can create a video showing your products with explanations and upload those to us on Teams.
4. If you can think of different or better ways to get the information to us let us know.
Lesson Target: I can construct and develop explanations for the cause and effects of plate interactions
Lesson Instructions
1. Watch the quick videos to refresh your memory of the earth layers and plate tectonics
2. Look at the choices for the choice board and decide which 3 you will work on for this week. Assignments should be thoroughly explained with will constructed examples written in paragraph form not 1 or 2 sentences. Remember your 3 choices are not due until Friday but you have the option to submit a choice each day as you should be working daily
