Lesson Target: I can explain the formation process of Igneous Rocks and compare and contrast the characteristics of the types of Igneous Rocks.
Lesson Overview: Today you will continue to learn about Igneous rocks. Remember there are 3 types of rocks and Igneous is one of those types. Today you will continue to learn what is needed to form or create an igneous rock as well as learn the characteristics of the 2 types of Igneous Rocks(Intrusive and Extrusive) Did you know that if a rock comes from magma verses lava it is considered an entirely different kind of rock. Today you will learn what rocks formed from magma are called and what they will look like and ones from lava.
